Figuring out who you are and what your life’s purpose, is all a part of YOUR journey in life.

During my four years at Old Dominion University, I dove deeper into my love for writing and developed a passion for TV News.

Writing is what triggered my interest in Journalism. Connecting with people is what kept me intrigued. But most importantly, what has made me fall in love with the idea of being a reporter (MMJ), is when it is all said and done, seeing my work come to life, is what excites me.

After successfully completing my two internships at News Channel 3 and 13 News Now in Hampton Roads, I landed my first job as a temporary social media web producer at News Channel 3.Less than a year after graduating with my B.A. in Communication, I accepted the position of Morning Show Producer at 47 ABC in Salisbury, Md.

Adjusting to the morning shift is a battle, but during the first year of my position, I also endured and completed my master’s program in Journalism at Regent University with a 3.5 GPA.

I have finally got my footing in this business on the right track. I continue to strive daily for my goals to be achieved. As you can see, it has started to pay off, as I have also been promoted to Fill In Reporter.

Each day is a new opportunity to go out and create a life worth living and I can finally say I am doing just that.
