I GOT A PRODUCING JOB!

On February 1, 2017, I finally got my foot into the door of the TV News Industry!

I am a Morning Producer for WMDT ABC 47 in Maryland.

For the first time in a few months, I can finally say I feel like I have gotten a grip on grad school, my new job, relocating, and adult-ing for the first time.

I originally applied for the MMJ/ Producer position at the station, but after a honest conversation with the News Director, I was offered a position as a full time producer.

Its hard waking up when everyone is asleep, but that is honestly the only hard ship.

I was trained really well by my trainer and I will forever be grateful for her taking the time to make sure I knew exactly what I was doing when it came time for her to leave. Can we say #BlackGirlMagic!

Each day I am continuing in furthering my knowledge as a producer so that when the opportunity presents it's self for me to become a reporter, I'll be ready!
